“Mother, I crave violence,” a small child interrupts the video call, practically clambering up into Nightingale’s chair. They look around five or so, with white hair and red eyes. Albino perhaps? 

“Ah, apologies, let me take care of this real quick,” Nightingale turns the microphone off when he gets a few acknowledging noises, picking the small child up and moving them from the room. 

“Cute kid,” Barry acknowledged from behind his coworker’s head, having been helping move things. Actually, the kid looked kind of familiar, though from where, who knew. Hard to remember everything with how fast his thoughts usually went. “I didn’t know Nightingale was a father…” 

Then again the specialist was notoriously private, and set most meetings online thanks to some sort of medical conditions. So he supposed it would make it easier to be a stay at home dad if he was there already…

summary: When Kim Mingyu, the new addition to the Social Media department of Sebong Corp., shows up at your office, requesting you to feature in one of the 'promotional tiktoks' he's been assigned to film, you tell yourself that it'll be your last interaction with the puppy-faced, hyper-energetic intern. A few months, twenty tiktoks, and a diabetes-inducing amount of sugar, you can't quite remember exactly why you had wanted to stay away from him in the first place.

You like your job, you really do. Sure, you hadn’t envisioned yourself working in the IT department of Sebong Corp, one of South Korea's most popular media companies, but you were satisfied, somewhat, with the way you had put your computer science degree to use.

However, there were a few moments that really made you question your job, life, and entire existence.

One of those moments being this:

It’s 9:05 A.M., and you’re not even close to reaching the office. You just got off the subway and you’re booking it down the street to reach work before your department head launched off into another lecture on how ‘today’s youth is late to everything in life.’

Behind all the cafes, shops, and people on the crowded streets of the commercial hub of the city, the tall, glimmering glass building of Sebong Corp. comes into view. An eager tourist might stop to take a few pictures of the sight, but all you can focus on is entering said building in time for your meeting.

You swiftly avoid bumping into most pedestrians taking a lazy stroll down the street, and only when the doors of the building are in front of you, you let your guard down and reduce your sprint to a brisk walk.

Big mistake.

After you swipe your ID card at the main entrance, thereby triggering the large glass doors to open, you stop in the office lobby to catch your breath. You’re just about to wave at Sunjae, the new receptionist, when all of a sudden, you hear someone curse loudly behind you, get abruptly pushed forward, and feel a strange wetness on your back. It smells a lot like coffee.

You’re not one for cursing in the workplace. Xu Minghao from HR is slightly terrifying when you see him deal with interns who forget to lower their voice while speaking in language inappropriate for work, and you like to remain in his good books. Now, however, you feel every drop of that restraint leave you as you shout loudly, for even Minghao’s ancestors to hear, “What the fuck?”

Okay so I don't do full sets often but I love these sets so figured I would convert every piece (; - disclaimer: okay no, not every piece, some are variations for taller walls (which are possible in ts3 but I think they suck so I'm sticking to short walls)

Some general notes;

>Most items are low poly (under 2k verts, with a few exceptions) and have small textures.

>Everything that could be made functional is functional. Columns are decorative and include 'half' versions in case you want to place them on the wall (and avoid seeing part of it through the wall which gets on my nerves lol) / I recommend using either OMSP or S3DT to move some of the objects up or down, since I didn't resize decor objects to fit short walls (in case you don't want it to cover just one level ;)

>*Known issues: One of the sides from the medium 2x1 & 2x2 doors from the "Soho" set sink a bit into the ground after use, I couldn't fix it but I'll update the files if I ever manage to get them to work as expected </3 - Also the "Soho Shop" windows' glass clips a bit with each other but it's almost unnoticeable unless you set the camera very close :s

Alright, finally I could get both parts of this uploaded. So, November 10th is when Fallout 4 released back in 2015, making it 9 whole years old today. I decided I'd try doing some conversions of stuff. These are conversions from the "Modern Domestic" set in the game, you get the two end tables and a chair, plus a loveseat add-on for the chair.

Details:

The loveseat is linked to the chair, and the end small end table is linked to the big, meaning you will need those meshes for the others to work. The end tables and chairs aren't linked in any way, however.

And yes, they're both in end tables, and stand at typical end table height. The two-tile one is cloned from a conversion of an awesims sideboard (to get the slots and all that right) idk where the original download is but I got it here.

The chair has two subsets while the tables have just one.

The cushions on the chair are in the same 28 colors from last time, the woods on both sets are an assortment of 7 natural colors, using color actions by Hafiseazale.

OH I almost forgot to mention, the end tables. They are about half the depth that they are in fo4, these things are massive by default. Like, they're too damn big in fo4 they're as thick as the shoulder span of an X-01, as I found out.

Hey, it has been a very long time since we've done one of these!

(Since October 2022, if my records are accurate. And, of course, any such posts on the blog were wiped when I was hacked...)

You all know my love of the ancient/archaic style of dice (and how I use them as inspiration for Aasimar characters), so when I saw these sets that I didn't already have as a bundle from Haxtec (and a nice shiny other set), I figured it was as good of an an excuse as any to indulge my addiction.

So, it's been over a year since I did my usual photography - I guess I'll have to see if I remember how I set things up.

Also, even though it's the same old desk, it's a new room with a new way of arranging my desk, so I guess we'll have to see if there's any changes I need to make to my process.

New photos - Well, one per set at least, hopefully, at some point to follow. Not sure if I want to dump all the photos for all the sets into the same post.

heyyy everyone! a whole 2 months after i started on it, i finally come to you with my answer to @atomtanned's request for max20's garden at home set to be converted to the sims 2. it is not the entire set, i might go back and finish the missing pieces (mostly set deco) later; but for now, enjoy 31 new gardening-themed items for your games! 🌿 this set takes up a lot of file space, too much file space for simfileshare, apparently, so this download is hosted on mediafire only. to make up for this though, i've also uploaded the lot i used to preview all the items! you can grab it from the link below. aside from the cc in the preview, the only other thing it requires is a brick floor by @lordcrumps. collection file and readme are included, as always. more previews and info are under the cut.

this conversion would not have been possible without @tvickiesims and @lamare-sims' garden center collection, from which i cloned and edited the planters in the set from. so shout out to both of them, their set goes amazingly with this one, so be sure to grab it too!

Things to Note

The ColumnarJuniperShort is repositoried to the ColumnarJuniper. The RiverRocks is repositoried to the RiverRock. The PlanterWithBevelGoodWood is repositoried to the PlanterGoodWood. The Planters are functional. They're cloned from tvickiesims and lamare-sims' garden planters, which are edits of Honeywell's pots. Any garden plants included in this download do not have seasonal states. I tried to add them and gave up almost instantly. They do have overgrown states, though. The GardeningTable is purely decorative, no slots either. Some textures may be a bit blurry when you zoom in on them. No clue why, it might be like that in the OG download too :/

cater diamond, resident magicam lover, and heartslabyul third year, was used to people making assumptions about him. they thought he loved surprises, adored being the center of attention, and of course, since he was from heartslabyul, dorm of sweets and tea, had a major sweet tooth. but on his birthday? the one thing he really didn’t want was sweets.

“c’mon, [name], you wouldn’t do that to me, right?” cater pouted dramatically, leaning against the counter with his hand on his forehead as you stirred the pot in front of you, rolling your eyes fondly. “my one wish is a sweet-free birthday. you wouldn’t betray me like that, would you?”

you smirked, giving him a teasing look. “i wouldn’t dream of it. but if they insist on shoving cake in your face, i’m making sure you’ve got something to wash it down with.”

cater peeked into the pot, eyes widening as the spicy aroma hit him. “wait. what did you-? oh my seven, babe, are those chili flakes? and are those ghost peppers? are you trying to kill me?”

you grinned, flicking his forehead lightly. “you said no sweets. i’m balancing it out.”

a laugh bubbled out of him, the tension in his shoulders easing as he watched you work. everyone always expected a picture-perfect, camera-ready version of him. but you? you saw him beyond the filters, beyond the persona. you made him things not because they looked good on magicam, but because you knew what he really liked.

soon enough, you set a steaming bowl of devilishly red noodles in front of him, a proud glint in your eyes. cater sat down, rubbing his hands together. “alright, let’s see if i survive this.”

his first bite hit instantly. with fire, heat, and pure spice, his eyes watered, but the sheer satisfaction on his face was unmistakable. “babe. this is… this is pure pain. i love it.”

you beamed, handing him a glass of milk with a wink. “i figured you’d say that.”

and as he grinned at you between mouthfuls of lava disguised as food, he knew.

this was the best birthday he’d ever had.

To get Regulus’s mind off what had happened, James suggested that they go for a run in the forest together. Regulus had agreed he loved being a cat and wanted to be able to race as fast as he wanted again. But their little date had become a group gathering. Sirius had overheard them talking about it and had invited himself along. Remus had said it was pointless for him to go as he was the only one who couldn’t change, but Sirius had declared he could ride on his back as he was large enough to carry him. And if that didn’t work, then James and Pandora were strong enough. Which meant Pandora was invited, and with Pandora, that included the others, and Peter just followed the rest. So they went from two to nine. Regulus didn’t really mind, but he would have liked some time alone with James. 

It had taken quite a bit of planning to get them all out of the castle and into the forest without being seen. But they’d managed it. 

Regulus sat in his cat form, tail twitching in aggravation as he waited for everyone to sort themselves out. Sirius was bounding around the group, barking happily. Regulus took a swipe at him when he came too close for his liking. It was a mistake as Sirius spun around, much more agile than Regulus had given him credit for and licked him from leg to ear. Regulus had had no idea that a cat's features could show disgust so completely, but apparently they did, as James let him know. 

Finally, they were all ready. Barty needed coaxing into turning as he still wasn't happy with his animal form. Evan had picked up the grumpy chipmunk and tickled him under the chin and kissed him on the head. Barty had chittered more happily and then was given to Remus to put in his pocket. 

“Ready, set, go, I guess,” Remus said from where he hung onto Sirius’s back, and they were off. An odd collection of animals and one human, clattering through the otherwise silent forest.

Back in the mid-’70s, Byrne was a rising talent when fellow artist Pat Broderick couldn’t meet a deadline. Chris Claremont, who was writing Iron Fist, had seen Byrne’s samples and was impressed. He asked Marvel production chief John Verpoorten to offer Byrne the job—if he could finish 17 pages by a set date.

Byrne’s reply? “What do you want me to do for the rest of the month?”

He turned in the pages in a week—and earned the assignment full time, starting with Marvel Premiere #25.

“Art…”

You reprimanded him lightly. He was setting the table when you got home from the market, but you ushered him to sit down in the living room. “I told you, it’s Saturnalia! We celebrate by doing things for our loved ones that they usually do for us!”

He crossed his arms and pouted.

“I know you like cooking for me, but let me cook dinner for you tonight, okay?” You gave him a kiss on the top of his bald head as he looked on with a curious look in his eyes. It’s been wonderful having him in your life since he swore his loyalty to Satan. Since you were a witch who also served Satan, you were his kinda-sorta boss. But he had become a lot more than a minion to you. That’s why it was so important to you that you serve him tonight. 

A while later, you were finished cooking. You brought the food to the dining room table and rang the tiny dinner bell like he usually did to let you know dinner was served. “I made your favorite! Mac and Cheese!”

He was lying on the floor with his head in his hands, watching some vintage-looking commercial on the tiny TV. “Here’s new Velvet! Her hair grows, just like her cousin, beautiful Chrissy…”

He perked up the moment you said “Mac and Cheese”, scrambling to get up and running for the table. The chair scooted a little as he threw himself in it, which made you giggle. He smiled at the sound of your laughter, just like every other time he made you laugh. You put the plate down in front of him and he rubbed his hands together gleefully. You watched him as he devoured your cooking, quite satisfied with yourself. “So, was this a good idea after all?” you asked once he finished.

He jumped from his chair and into your lap, wrapping his arms around you and kissing your cheek over and over. You burst out in laughter. “Okay, okay! Now get back into the living room. I’ve got to do the dishes!”
